Summary

Bitten by a vampire at a club, nineteen-year-old En barely survived。 Taken under the wing of Ichii — a member of the health and welfare division of the vampire rights organization known as FANGS — En learns he's to be taught about this new "world" he must survive in。

In order to control the urge to suck blood and attack innocents, FANGS established a "pairing system", where two vampires support one another with regular meals。 As a young, virginal vampire, En is highly sought after by many senior vamps。 That is, until he declares his intention to pair with his guardian, Ichii。。。

My first vampire manga! Really enjoyed this。 It’s got beautiful art, a variety of interesting and charming characters (En is best boy), and cool world building regarding vampire society。 Love the character designs too (pointy vampire ears!!)。 Only issue I have with it is that there’s only one volume out so far, I want more lol。

I found FANGS to be very interesting。 The premise is that vampires have their own form of courtship for the purpose of survival, and that this courtship is treated similarly to that of a married couple。 It was filled with quirky and enjoyable moments, and I hope to read more of it soon。

I got kinda tired of vampire drama years ago, so I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this。 The art is everything I love about manga, and I'd expected that was all I'd end up liking, but this was also emotional and sexy, with reasonably fleshed out characters, backstory, and bits of interesting world building。 I got kinda tired of vampire drama years ago, so I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this。 The art is everything I love about manga, and I'd expected that was all I'd end up liking, but this was also emotional and sexy, with reasonably fleshed out characters, backstory, and bits of interesting world building。 。。。more

This was the first paranormal Boys' Love manga I've read, but it won't be the last。 En is a 19 year old gay man who was turned to a vampire without his consent, something that truly troubles his new mentor in the Vamp society, Ichii。 Ichii is hoping to pair En--a virgin and sexy with it--with a compassionate and stable partner, so they can provide years of companionship and blood-sharing, but En is not interested in any of the many men he's presented at his first mixer。 They may be sexy, but som This was the first paranormal Boys' Love manga I've read, but it won't be the last。 En is a 19 year old gay man who was turned to a vampire without his consent, something that truly troubles his new mentor in the Vamp society, Ichii。 Ichii is hoping to pair En--a virgin and sexy with it--with a compassionate and stable partner, so they can provide years of companionship and blood-sharing, but En is not interested in any of the many men he's presented at his first mixer。 They may be sexy, but some seem pushy or entitles, and En has developed an affinity for Ichii, even if Ichii neither wants nor promotes this connection。 Ichii is a good guy, volunteering with FANGS, a social group to help vampires meet their companionship or blood needs。 He is attracted to En, but doesn't want to exploit him。 Well, En makes it clear that any of the other vampires he'd met would be exploiting him in any case, and at least he KNOWS Ichii, to some degree。  Throughout the story we meet several other vampires, some whom have open relationships, and others who do not want to replace a lost partner。 I liked getting to know these characters, and expect that we will see more of them in the coming volumes。As for this story, it's an unexpectedly sweet when it is focused on Ichii and En。 Ichii provides good humor while En is youthful, innocent and endearing。 I really enjoyed the growing passion between the main characters, as well as how they cared for one another。 There was a good level of maturity for most of the characters, some of whom are still young-looking despite being turned decades before。 Expect a bit of steam between En and Ichii--and for it to be a little rough。 The emotions were so evocative through the images and the words。 I could really feel when someone was nervous, or concerned, or even depressed。 It's a glamorous society, and the characters are represented with grace and panache。 If you are even a little interested in manga, this could be a good one the check out, since it's the beginning of a series。 。。。more

Blessed be yaoi and the vampires。 So, when I've started this manga I didn't think that I would love it。 At first you read about a very normal vampire love story, but then I've realized that it has a lot of hidden things I've loved to know。The love story starde very quickly, and it was a bit disappointing, but then when I've kept on reading I've realized that this isn't the most important hing in this Manga。En became recently a vampire and he was assigned with a guardian, an irresistibly sexy vam Blessed be yaoi and the vampires。 So, when I've started this manga I didn't think that I would love it。 At first you read about a very normal vampire love story, but then I've realized that it has a lot of hidden things I've loved to know。The love story starde very quickly, and it was a bit disappointing, but then when I've kept on reading I've realized that this isn't the most important hing in this Manga。En became recently a vampire and he was assigned with a guardian, an irresistibly sexy vampire。 En doesn't know anything about his new world, but with the time passing he discovers more things and makes a lot of friends, friends that have a lot of secrets and a heartbreaking past。 But his kindness will start to heal the hearts of some his new friends, specially of his new partner。A very cool first volume。 I've loved to know more about En and all the whole vampire world。Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with the copy of this beautiful story。 。。。more

FANGS is my new favourite Yaoi manga! Sooo good it was! There is M/M romance, a lot of steamy moments and smuffy scenes, vampire gay pairs with very particular tastes。 It was light, funny and I'm thirsting for more already。 En was so cute with his "Don't treat me like a virgin" even when he acts like one all time。 But for sure I loved sensual Ichii more。 Only negative thing I could find is similar appearance of Ichii and Sugi, they look nearly identical and sometime is hard to tell who is whom。 FANGS is my new favourite Yaoi manga! Sexy and surprisingly very sweet。 The writing wasn’t the best - some scenes are really stilted and the pacing was off。 But the relationship between En and Ichii is compelling, and the friendships En begins to make are pretty adorable。 Some of the characters look way too similar though (En, Utsugi, and Umesaki all have the same face…this confused me in the beginning)。 And I need so much more backstory, especially on Mariko! Fangs combines the “recently-turned-into-a-vampire” trope with a somewhat different take on the vampire mythos。 Toss in some BL and it ended up being the perfect manga for me。 The main character in Fangs is En who got turned after a vampire attack。 Another vampire named Ichii was the one who found him and took him in as his guardian。 In this universe it’s rare for vampires to attack humans because most vampires have agreed it’s best to live in harmony with them。 To achieve this an organization c Fangs combines the “recently-turned-into-a-vampire” trope with a somewhat different take on the vampire mythos。 Toss in some BL and it ended up being the perfect manga for me。 The main character in Fangs is En who got turned after a vampire attack。 Another vampire named Ichii was the one who found him and took him in as his guardian。 In this universe it’s rare for vampires to attack humans because most vampires have agreed it’s best to live in harmony with them。 To achieve this an organization called Fangs was formed and promotes vampires to pair up with each other。 By doing this vampires are able to quench their thirst by drinking their partner’s blood instead of another human’s。 Now that En is a vampire he needs to find a pairing, but he’s still overwhelmed by his transformation and the only person he feels safe around is Ichii。 I like nice vampires that try to blend into society as much as I like scary vampires, so the universe the mangaka created was neat。 I thought the idea of having an organization of vampires called Fangs that made sure other vampires were being taken care of and not hurting humans was pretty creative。 Since I’ve never come across it in any other form of media I was intrigued from the get-go with the idea of vampires pairing up with each other so they don’t have to drink human blood。 I was curious how En would handle the information and who he would pick, and I was not disappointed。 Ichii works for the Fangs Health and Welfare department, so one of his jobs is checking up on other vampires under his custody。 Through his job we get to meet four other vampires who each have unique lives and through them En learns about what his life will now be like having to live forever。 I found the stories of these four vampires to be interesting and I loved their friendships with each other。 I wouldn’t mind a whole side manga following these four as main characters。 En himself was an absolute cutie。 I liked that he had a realistically unthrilled reaction to being turned into a vampire without his consent。 Despite his circumstances he still showed kindness to others and I highly respect that。 I struggled with how I felt about Ichii because I didn’t like how pushy he could get, but his seriousness to his job and how he pampers En made me eventually like him。The romance between En and Ichii was pretty adorable。 Ichii is so smitten by En and showers him with love daily, but while En does feel comfortable around Ichii he is still intimidated by the idea of being paired up with anyone。 I loved the pining and the teasing。 The art was beautiful! The characters are attractive but not in your conventional manga way。 The art style is so unique that they feel attractive mostly because their character designs are so special。 The mangaka definitely has a distinct art style。 This a mature manga, so there are sex scenes。 They aren’t the most graphic but I can’t exactly call them tame either。 Like most mature manga from Japan it is censored。No manga that features vampires and BL can go wrong for me, but it helps that the art style is beautiful and the story interesting。 There wasn’t a lot of plot outside getting to know the characters and developing the romance, but the major cliffhanger has me wishing the next volume was out already so I can see what happens next。 。。。more
